NYC transit inaccessibility research MinuteMap expresses infrastructure barriers in minutes by comparing ordinary scheduled journeys with journeys constrained by official accessibility classifications and current matched outages.
MinuteMap NYC — measuring the time cost of transit inaccessibility
MinuteMap is an independent civic-technology research project. It compares scheduled-model New York City
transit journeys and reports a step-free comparison only when required accessibility evidence can be verified, measures the difference in minutes,
and identifies the stations, elevators and transfers responsible. It uses official MTA station, elevator and
escalator datasets and live equipment outage feeds. Not affiliated with or endorsed by the Metropolitan
Transportation Authority.
